French publisher Les Aventuriers d'Ailleurs have bought French rights to Viejas promesas, a graphic novel about the bitterness of the football world, to be published by ECC in April 2024. The illustrator Pedro Rodríguez is best known for Omar, le Navigateur, a comic book originally released in Spain in 2005 and published in French in 2018 (Les Aventuriers de l'Étrange), and also for Les aventures du jeune Jules Verne (Glénat), which was part of the Angoulême Youth Selection in 2011. The text is signed by Álvaro Velasco and Iñaki San Román, two scriptwriters with an interesting track record scriptwriting for TV series and in charge of the podcast Paquetes, now also a book published by ECC.
