Berlin, 1941. Hans Edelmann, a scientist at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Atomic Research, secretly photographs plans and documents for the atomic bomb he is working on as part of a selected group of researchers. The German Communist Party wants to get this information to Moscow so that the Russian government can also acquire their own weapon as soon as possible.
The man chosen to deliver the negatives to Russia is Santi, a young communist who joins the Blue Division to carry out the mission. Santi, whose father was murdered in 1936, embarks on an adventure in the midst of the fervent divisionaries, until he reunites with Marta, an old love hidden away in his mind, struggles to resurface.
